Israeli officials reportedly have ordered West Bank settlements expanded to house Israelis evacuated from the Gaza Strip. On Tuesday, Israel’s daily Ma’ariv reported that Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz has drawn up plans for new residential construction in the West Bank’s Gush Etzion area. The new homes are to be offered to the nearly 8,000 settlers slated for removal from Gaza, Ma’ariv said.
