The Anti-Defamation League denounced proselytizing of Jews by the Presbyterian Church USA. The ADL also called the church’s call for divestiture from companies that do business with Israel “offensive and distressing.” Abraham Foxman, the ADL’s national director, sent a letter to church leaders Tuesday saying that targeting Jews for conversion to Christianity is insulting, and helped serve as a basis for the Holocaust.
