Israel and the Palestinian Authority agreed that this week’s summit meeting would be held in Jerusalem. A final decision on the venue for Tuesday’s talks between Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and P.A. President Mahmoud Abbas had been held up after the Palestinians expressed displeasure at the prospect of meeting in Israel’s capital, which they demand as the capital of their own future state.
