Marcia Lieberman, who said she “kvelled” when her son was nominated for vice president in 2000, died Sunday at age 90. Marcia Lieberman, the mother of Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-Conn.), campaigned heavily after Democrats nominated her son for vice president in 2000, the first time a Jewish man was on a major national ticket, and when he ran for the Democratic nomination in 2004.
