Abe Hirschfeld, who came to the United States from Israel and became a millionaire businessman and philanthropist, died Tuesday at age 85. The cause was cancer, his family said. Hirschfeld was born in Poland but moved to pre-state Israel in 1935, and came to the United States in 1950.
