The National Yiddish Book Center received a $2 million gift. The donation from the Kaplen Foundation of New Jersey was the largest single gift in the 27-year history of the center in Amherst, Mass., according to a release.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
