Israeli commandos killed at least 10 Palestinian gunmen in the Gaza Strip.
A small special-forces unit snuck into the Gaza city of Khan Younis early Thursday to attack what Israeli military officials said was a terrorist installation. The soldiers came under fire from local gunmen. At least 10 gunmen from Islamic Jihad and Hamas were killed in subsequent fighting.
