Tourists visiting Israel over Passover set a new record for blood donations.

Four blood drives in Haifa, the Galilee, Jerusalem and the Dead Sea organized by American Friends of Magen David Adom for American and other tourists netted more than 100 units, setting a new record for one week’s blood donations from tourists.

Passover marks the beginning for the third year AFMDA has offered the opportunity for tourists to donate blood, enabling more than 1600 tourists to donate blood in Israel over the last two years.
