J Street is out with a video that is sure to cause some conversation and controversy. It explicitly asks American Jews to speak out against a member of the new democratically-elected Israeli government — Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman. The 90-second video entitled "Meet Avigdor Lieberman, Israel’s next foreign minister," includes quotes from Lieberman, quotes some prominent American Jewish leaers criticizing him and other quotes from other Jewish leaders that it believes "whitewashes" Lieberman’s plaform. "We know the truth," states the video’s narrator, and American Jews must "stand up for our shared belief in democracy and equality." Here’s the video:
