Did you know that Quentin Tarantino is making a spaghetti western named Django Unchained?? Yeah, not quite sure what to make of it, but it seems to be … promising. And the stars who have already agreed to participate are definitely on the impressive side: Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, and Jamie Foxx.
And that’s not all. Two actors are currently battling for another spot, Sacha Baron Cohen and Jonah Hill, and so far it seems like Baron Cohen has the lead.
Django Unchained is about a German dentist (Waltz) who becomes a bounty hunter, and buys Django (Foxx) to help him with one of his “jobs.” The two become friends as Waltz helps Django find his wife who is imprisoned by DiCaprio. Cohen is supposed to play the person who buys the wife from DiCaprio. Not bad.
Cohen is currently slated to play Saddam Hussein and Freddie Mercury in upcoming films. Not the same one, obviously. Though that would be a movie I’d go see.
