This story is both adorable and awkward. It features Adam Levine, the Maroon 5 lead singer who just became single, and Jennifer Love Hewitt, the 90s heartthrob who apparently is still a teenager inside.
Love Hewitt admitted she has a crush on Levine when she was on the Ellen Degeneres show a few weeks ago, saying “I always have my eyes out. I just read two days ago that Adam Levine is single again… I’m just saying. Look, we would be cute.” But a response did not come from Levine even a few days after Love Hewitt made the comment So Love Hewitt, who got a little embarrassed by the whole story, saying “I feel like I should write him an apology letter on Twitter or something just to say I’m so sorry… I wasn’t thinking that it was gonna turn into this whole thing and I feel bad.”
A few days after, Levine was also interviewd on “Ellen,” and admitted that it was “aggressive.” Ouch. Though later he said that it was “flattering.. when a beautiful woman says nice things about you.” Yeah, that’s nice, but he still said it was “aggressive,” right, Jennifer?
So a few weeks passed, and we went on with our lives but apparently Jennifer didn’t. Over the weekend she tweeted “The moment when you make a comment about something or someone and the world makes you feel like a total fool. #keepcrushesquiet” and also “Thank you @adamlevine for being so gracious on Ellen about my crush heard round the world. I’ve learned a lesson. #Sssh.”
I guess Levine’s senses about Love Hewitt being aggressive were correct. But nonetheless she remains adorable and so we wish her good luck on her manhunt, as long as she doesn’t tweet about it too much.
