Lena Dunham, the woman behing the much-buzzed HBO comedy “Girls,” received four nominations for this year’s 64th Primetime Emmy Awards – outstanding comedy series, lead actress, directing the first season finale episode “She Did” and for the writing of the pilot episode.
In an interview with The New York Times after the nominations were announced, Lena remembered her roots in providing a very Jewish answer to one question:
Reporting the stories that define our era. When history unfolds in real-time, the Jewish world turns to JTA. Your support ensures we can document the complexities of war and the resilience of Jewish communities with integrity.
