Move over, Bar Refaeli!
(Disclaimer: this blog is slightly obsessed with Mila Kunis. But hey, there’s a pretty good reason for that.)
Before even touching the reason why she is better than all of us as a person, apparently now the Jewish-Ukrainian starlet is also officially better looking than all of us. Kunis was named “Sexiest Woman Alive” in the November issue of “Esquire” magazine.
In an interesting interview with the magazine, Kunis expresses how she is somewhat fed-up from discussing her personal story, immigrating from Ukraine with her family at the age of 8, in order to escape anti-Semitism and post-Soviet chaos. She admits it’s an interesting story, but not unique, “I find it incredibly interesting, but I want you to go walk down Fairfax. And every. Single. One. Of those people has a similar story. My immigration story is being made into something bigger than it needs to be.” Kunis says that she is too young to talk about it anyway, “I feel awful talking about it, because my parents should sit down and talk about it. They’re the ones who went through hell and back, who gave everything up. I didn’t do anything. I was eight years old, and I tagged along. And my parents made me feel safe. I didn’t make those decisions. So I can’t take responsibility for it.”
Kunis is well aware of today’s politics, and has a mouthful on the Republican party, especially when it comes to religion, “he way they talk about religion is offensive. I may not be a practicing Jew, but why we gotta talk about Jesus all the time?”
As the interview goes on, perhaps one of the most important questions is brought up, her hosting of SNL, and the result is quite disappointing: “I cannot express to you how nervous it makes me. It’s the most frightening thing.”
