Dustin Hoffman knows his way around the young people’s world.
First it was the giant wet kiss he gave One Direction’s Niall Horan on the “Late Show with David Letterman,” and now it’s about the love intentions he has for his daughter Alexandra.
During an interview with the British Daily Mirror, Hoffman was told that actor Daniel Radcliffe described him as his ultimate idol, and immediately responded with: “That’s really lovely. I thank you, Daniel. Does he have a girlfriend? Is he married? I have a 25-year-old daughter, Alexandra, so this could be a nice introduction.”
When Hoffman was asked to give Radcliffe a tip from one short actor to the other, Hoffman replied: ”That’s easy – make sure everyone cast around him is even shorter. My daughter’s pretty small too. My kids are around 5ft 4 or 5ft 5.”
Hoffman’s daughter recently broke up with Jonah Hill last fall.
In the interview, Hoffman talked about getting older, ”The most terrifying thing for me is when I look at pictures of my kids growing up. I’ve been married for 31 years, raising all these kids. My wife remembers exactly what happened the day the picture was taken, exactly where everyone was. I can’t remember any of it … The oddest thing is that I’ll be surfing the channels on TV and suddenly see a movie I did. Everything about that day will come back to me and I say to myself, ‘Why don’t I have that kind of memory about my life? Why is it just my work’ ”
