Every year DoSomething.org, a non-profit that motivates young people to take action around social issues, publishes the Top 20 Celebs Gone Good list, and this year there are two whole Jews who made the cut!
Daniel Radcliffe came in at number 17 for this reason: “In 2011, Daniel continued his longtime involvement with The Trevor Project, an organization that offers suicide-prevention support to LGBT teens. His consistent appearance in PSAs and at speaking events earned him the organization’s Hero Award.”
Right after him comes Lea Michele, at 16, with the explanation that “Lea Michele is using her powerful voice to ban horse-drawn carriages. A devoted advocate for PETA, Lea recently filmed a shocking video that shows the brutal conditions the horses are forced to endure. Lea also inspires her followers to get involved by tweeting information about animal cruelty.”
That’s it. No more Jews except the kid wizard and the girl high school singer. Makes you wonder where the rest are, right? I mean, the Jews didn’t do anything good this year? Did we actually lose to Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber?!? I believe this calls for reflection
