Some 12,000 persons at an Israel bond rally here last night purchased $300,000 worth of bonds to bring the total purchased since the Israel bond drive started in Canada earlier this year to nearly $3, 000, 000.
The rally was addressed by former United States Vice President Alben W. Barkley, who told the meeting that a “strong Israel can help the West much more tab a weak Israel.” Another major speaker at the rally was Henry Montor executive vice-chairman of the American bond drive organization.
