Hamlin House, an American Labor Zionist project, was opened here today at a ceremony attended by United States Ambassador Edward B. Lawson and Speaker of the Israel Parliament Joseph Sprinzak. The three story $250,000 building is located near Histadrut headquarters. The project is named in honor of Isaac Hamlin, former executive head of the Histadrut campaign in the United States.
Mr. Hamlin, who recently settled permanently in Israel, told the gathering that the center would serve as a symbol of brotherhood and friendship between the Israel and American labor movements. He said the House would serve as a center for American tourists and would contain a permanent exhibition of Histadrut activities.
