A historic cemetery in Western Russia was desecrated. Vandals scrawled swastikas and other anti-Semitic inscriptions earlier this week on the gravestone of noted 19th-century Rabbi Israel Salanter and the cemetery’s Holocaust memorial. Jewish officials are calling on officials in Kaliningrad to investigate the incident.
