A Jewish boxer won the North American Boxing Association’s junior welterweight championship. Dmitriy “The Star of David” Salita defeated Shawn “The Educator” Gallegos on Aug. 25 by TKO at 2:37 of the ninth round at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom, becoming the first Jew to hold a boxing title in nearly 30 years, the Jerusalem Post reported.
