A New York-based group hopes to recreate a shtetl in Israel. The Shtetl Foundation hopes to break ground as early as this fall on the project, which calls for a shtetl to be constructed on 124 acres in Rishon le- Zion, a suburb of Tel Aviv.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
