A set of plaques explaining a controversial inscription on Prague’s famous Charles Bridge were unveiled Wednesday. The inscription was deemed inappropriate by a delegation of the North American Board of Rabbis during a visit to Prague last year. The new plaques state in English, Czech and Hebrew that the original inscription “was intended to humiliate the Jewish community.”
