A U.S. Senate committee approved language that would extend supplemental benefits for two years to elderly and disabled refugees, some of whom are Jewish. The Supplemental Security Income extension passed last week in the Senate Finance Committee, as part of the Personal Responsibility and Individual Development for Everyone Act.
