American Training Vessel Sails from Haifa Following Six-day Visit to Jewish State

The training ship Empire State, of the New York State Maritime College, sailed from here today for France following a six-day visit. Close to 400 trainees and crew members are aboard the vessel, which is commanded by Alfred Olivet, of New York. The ship’s commander said that in future training cruises he would attempt to include Haifa, since Israel offered the “best example of learning by seeing.”
