Amnesty International criticized Israel’s military retaliation against Lebanon and called on Hezbollah to treat captured Israeli soldiers humanely. “Israel must put an end to attacks against civilians and against civilian infrastructure in Lebanon, which constitute collective punishment,” the group’s Malcolm Smart was quoted as saying.
