An Israeli Cabinet minister described France as a leader in the fight against anti-Semitism. Following a meeting with French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy in Paris on Wednesday, Israel’s minister for public security, Tzachi Hanegbi, told reporters that France is “the only country in Europe where those guilty of anti-Semitic acts are put in jail,” adding, “France is not an anti-Semitic country, on the contrary.”
