The Rumanian Government today, emulating the Nazi-dominated French and Belgian governments, ordered dissolution of all Jewish organizations in the country, according to a decree issued by Gen. Ion Antonescu, which was broadcast by the Bucharest radio.

The Union of Jewish Communities as well as all Jewish associations and societies will be combined in a central Jewish office, which will be under government control, the broadcast announced. All Jews in Rumania, regardless of their nationality, have been ordered to register with the central Jewish body. A report from Bucharest several weeks ago stated that the heads of the local Jewish communities in every Rumanian city, with the exception of Bucharest itself, had been sent to concentration camps.
