With subscriptions totaling $130,000, the Jewish community of St. Louis this week set a standard for other large cities throughout the country when it reached the goal it had adopted for its 1935 Jewish Welfare Fund.

The major beneficiary of this year’s Welfare Fund was the United Jewish Appeal, representing the Joint Distribution Committee and the American Palestine Campaign.

Isidor Loeb is president of the Jewish Welfare Fund of St. Louis and the executive director is Blanche Renard.
