Ariel Sharon canceled a planned trip to the United States. A spokesman for the Israeli prime minister cited the worsening security situation in Israel when he made the announcement Saturday. Sharon had planned to meet President Bush on Nov. 11 during a trip to attend the annual General Assembly of the United Jewish Communities.
