As Iran began a conference for Holocaust deniers in Tehran, Jewish groups gathered outside the Iranian mission to the United Nations to protest. The Monday news conference was convened by the Ad Hoc Leadership Coalition for Justice, the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations and the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York and chaired by Malcolm Hoenlein, executive vice chairman of the Conference of Presidents. The two-day conference is being hosted by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, whose aim was to question the genocide without what he called the obstacle of Western taboos.
