The American Civil Liberties Union, in letters to Governor Lehman and Mayor Westbrook of Van Etten, N. Y., protested Ku Klux Klan raids on a summer school of the Finnish Workers Federation in the Chemung County town.

The union said fiery crosses were burned near the school and some of the students were beaten. Prosecution of the guilty parties was demanded.
