The demand that the British Labor Government take action to give special treatment to political prisoners is made by the “Davar,” Hebrew publication. Commenting upon the hunger strike of the Communists who for the past month have been held in jail without trial for belonging to an illegal organization, the “Davar” declares: “It is inconceivable that the Labor Government is aware of the indignities inflicted upon the prisoners. While we are opposed to the Communist policies and tactics, we hope the Labor Government will realize the justice of the demand for special treatment for political prisoners.”
