Israel Barzilai, of the left-wing Mapam Party, was today elected Deputy Speaker of the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, replacing the late Hanan Rubin, also of Mapam. Mr. Barzilai, a member of Kibbutz Negev, was Israel’s Minister of Health from 1955 to 1961.
