Belgian witnesses started testifying last Thursday before a West German magistrate here against former SS leader Kurt Asche who headed the Gestapo Jewish section in Brussels during the city’s war-time occupation. Asche is being tried for murder in Kiel. The witnesses were unable, because of age and ill health, to attend the trial.
