Belgium’s Supreme Court is expected to rule Wednesday on whether Belgian prosecutors will be allowed to bring Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to trial for alleged war crimes 20 years ago. Earlier Wednesday, the court held a two-hour session to hear a request by Palestinian plaintiffs, who want Sharon prosecuted for the killing of Palestinians by Lebanese Christian militias in the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps during the 1982 Lebanon War, when Sharon was defense minister.
