The British government is determined to go ahead with its invitation to a joint Jordanian-Palestinian delegation in spite of the latest atrocity by Palestinian terrorists. Geoffrey Howe, Foreign Secretary, today said that the murder of Leon Klinghoffer aboard the Italian cruise liner Achille Lauro was a shocking conclusion to a dreadful story and that he totally understands American anger over it. However, in a radio interview, he added that the Americans also understood the reason for the invitation to PLO executive members Mohammed Milhem and Bishop Elias Khoury, and claimed that they had repudiated violence and terrorism.
