Britain’s chief rabbi said Israel has implemented policies that are “incompatible” with Jewish ideals. In an interview published Tuesday in England’s Guardian newspaper, Jonathan Sacks said the current stalemate with the Palestinians is “corrupting” Jewish culture in Israel, specifically mentioning recent reports of smiling Israeli soldiers posing for a photograph with the corpse of a slain Palestinian.
