The three day annual convention of Brith Abraham, American Jewish fraternal order, concluded here today with the election of Irving L. Hodes of Newark, N. J. as grandmaster. Mr. Hodes has been active in civic and fraternal affairs for many years.

Dr. Moshe Tov. member of the Israel delegation to the United Nations, told the 700 delegates attending the convention that the clamor of the Arabs for appeasement is part of a scheme to bring about “renewed insatiable aggression” against Israel. Arab appeasement, he warned, will not bring peace in the Middle East. “Israel wants peace, and appeasement destroys all possibility of peace,” he declared.
