For that is the approximate cost of making a genealogical research in England for Germans of British descent who wish to prove they are not Jewish. A number of requests of this kind have been received here recently at the Society of Genealogists, demanding a search into family histories for pedigrees.
According to Mrs. K. Blomfield. secretary of the society, the applicants “want the proof as quickly as possible, judging by the urgency with which people have writen.” She declared that Germans of foreign extraction apparently were adked to produce the birth and marriage certificates of their parents and gradparents.
