The Bulgarian legation in Israel today formally applied to the Israel Foreign Ministry for permission to represent the interests of the Soviet Union in Israel. The legation already has all the necessary documents from the Soviet legation, whose staff left Israel Friday night.

The police today released on bail the last five suspects detained in connection with the bombing of the Soviet legation here two weeks ago. A total of 31 persons were arrested in connection with the bombing, but it is not yet known whether there is sufficient evidence to bring any of them to trial.
