The adoption of the Latin alphabet, with some additions, creating in all thirty letters, was decided upon at a conference of educators, held this week.
The Caucasian mountain Jews employ various dialects and a multiplicity of scripts are used in their literature. The newspaper “Zachmetksh” will be published in the new script. A special commission to work out the transliteration has been appointed.
