Chase Manhattan admitted that one of its predecessor banks helped Nazi Germany obtain U.S. dollars for German marks that may have come from the forced sale of Jewish assets. Chase officials said it was one of several banks which participated in a program that enabled Germany to raise between $25 million to $35 million during the 1930s.
