Chicago Jewish Charities to Seek $300,000 Immediately

An effort to raise $300,000 immediately was announced at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Charities held this week. This amount will be used to meet the actual and impending deficits which it will incur in its various institutions during the coming winter.

The following committee was named by Alfred K. Foreman, president, to direct the raising of this fund of $300,000: Max Adler, B. E. Bensinger; Edgar R. Born; L. Lewis Cohen; A. Ricard Frank; B. Herwich; Lewis M. Katz; Sol Kline; Charles Rubens; Ludwig Stein; Frank L. Sulzberger and Leo F. Wormser.
