China’s president sent Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat a letter of support. “We oppose Israel’s military attacks on the Palestinians, the economic blockade, and conduct jeopardizing the lives, property and safety of ordinary Palestinians,” Jiang Zemin’s letter said, according to the People’s Daily.
