Convention of Conservative Rabbis to Discuss Current Social Issues

The role and responsibilities of the rabbi in relation to current social issues will be analyzed at the five-day annual national convention of the Rabbinical Assembly of America, organization of Conservative rabbis, which opens this Sunday at the Concord Hotel in Kiamesha Lake, N. Y.

More than 600 Conservative rabbis of the United States and Canada will participate in the sessions, it was announced today. The rabbis will also examine all phases of relationships of American religious Jewry to Israel and will determine a budget for the coming organizational year.
