The realization of the Herzl ideal and the speedy rebuilding of Palestine as the Jewish national home was urged by Professor Albert Einstein in an impressive address delivered last night at a mass meeting of the Keren Hayesod in Germany.

The meeting was held in the Berlin Herren Haus. The hall was crowded with those who came to hear Professor Einstein, who was recently awarded the gold medal of the British Royal Astronomical Society, the highest distinction granted a scientist, speak on Zionism.

In his address Professor Einstein urged the union of all Jews on the basis of national adherence. “There is no contrast between being a Jew and being a German. It is a question of being upright or without character. He who remains faithful to his race and tradition also keeps his faith with his country,” Professor Einstein declared.
