Inspired by the victory achieved by Nazi students in bringing about the suspension of the lectures of Professor Ernst Cohn at Breslau University, Nazi students at the College of Commerce at the University of Koenigsburg are seeking to bring about the dismissal of another Jewish professor, Arthur Feiler.
The Nazis have submitted a petition to Captain Herman Goering, Minister of Interior for Prussia, calling for the dismissal of Feiler, Professor of Economics, since Koenigsburg, like Breslau, is a fortress of German culture and should not house any Jews in its faculty.
The students asserted that Professor Feiler was appointed against the wishes of the University Senate. This is denied by Rector Hessenland, who asserts that he was appointed because he is an outstanding authority on economics.
Professor Feiler came to Koenigsburg last year from Frankfurt-am-Main, where he served as its politico-economic editor. He has written a number of works and has lectured in the United States.
