Ford Local 600 of the United Automobile Workers of America today purchased $50,000 in Israel Bonds to lend “assistance to a true friend and ally of the United States.”
In announcing his union’s purchase, the leaders of the union said Israel is “a land where the labor movement is strong and participates not only in governing the country but also in the management of its economy. It is a land which has developed the principles of social justice which we are fighting to attain in our own country.”
