According to reports published in the Roumanian press, Jewish leaders there are divided on a proposal made to the Maniu government for evolving a method of dealing with current Jewish questions in the country.
It is stated that Zionist leaders who cooperated with Maniu, during the elections are negotiating ith the government for the appointment of a special commissioner to deal with current Jewish questions or the establishment of a permanent governmental department for this purpose. This proposal is opposed in non-Zionist circles and it was reported that a delegation of Transylvania Jews, who recently were received by the Prime Minister, protested against the plan.
