Dr. Epstein, Noted Jewish Scholar, Dies in London; Was 68

Dr. Isidore Epstein, noted scholar and former principal of Jews’ College here, died this week-end at the age of 68.

His published works included an English translation of the Babylonain Talmud. He was on the staff of Jews’ College for 33 years–as principal for 16 years until his retirement last summer.
