Appointment of Dr. Jack J. Cohen of New York as director of the B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundation at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, was announced here today by William Haber, chairman of the Hillel commission.
Dr. Cohen is currently rabbi of the Society for the Advancement of Judaism in New York and chairman of the United Synagogue Commission on Jewish Education. He also teaches courses in the philosophy of education and the philosophy of religion at the Jewish Theological Seminary. His appointment fills a vacancy at the Hebrew University Hillel post created by the death of Judah Shuval last year.
